Joining Moonlight Night Cosplay isn’t as simple as it may sound. We hold high standards in joining our group.  You can’t simply join and be a member and not take your part in the group.  Now that being said, we want to say that anyone can apply to join Moonlight Night Cosplay from anywhere in the world. You can be a member even though you don’t live near us. You will still be required to represent us and still do some membership requirements. If you live internationally, then you would be a International member, if you live in the US you would just be a member. Members that can attend conventions and events with us are referred as Active members. Okay now on to the steps to join and the requirements to stay a member of Moonlight Night Cosplay. Please read the About section to learn more about us.

Here are the Types of members Moonlight Night Cosplay have:
Active Member – A member that lives in the surrounding area that meets with with the group once a month and attends convention regularly with the group.
Extended Active Member -  A member that lives out of state but still attends conventions with us and does sometimes if can attends a meeting at least once a year.
US Member - A member that lives to far to attend events with us and attend meetings.
International Member – A member that lives out of the United States.
Trial Member – A member being analyzed to be inducted into the group.
Trial Active Member – A member that is accepted in to the cosplay group but is still pending to be able to join us in traveling.
Supporter – A person that doesn’t cosplay but attends events with us,  supplies funding for our cosplay, or helps out any any other way.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING!

Attitude goes a long way and we take that in account when deciding your membership. For active members, it is of the highest importance that the members get along because we will be around each other a lot when attending functions and our monthly meetings.  For extended active members, that is for you guys that live out of state but can still attend at least one convention a year with us, you still need to get along well with us. Rudeness, bossiness, hatefulness, and any other bad behavior will not be tolerated. All of our group members are recognized as our friends so please treat each other as such. Since we are a cosplay group and if you become a active member, you can join us on trip to conventions and share expenses with us, so it is important that we get along. We don’t want to share a room with a mean, dirty, or smelly person. Good hygiene people please.  Also we don’t want someone who begs us for money or is broke at the trips, so we have to pay for your food. If your that broke, don’t go.  Not trying to be mean but we have families to take care and we don’t need any more weight on our pockets. We share expenses and you will have to pull your own weight. We also do not like thieves. We have to trust you before you can stay with us at a convention. We really frown on people who steal. No drugs either. Nothing illegal for that matter.  You must be 18 years or older to travel with us. However, your guardian may join us but it is best that you travel with them and we can meet up.  That is in case something happens, someone needs to be there to be responsible for you. Now that being said, on to the steps below.  Be sure to read it all, as it is all pertinent that you do so.

Step 1

The first step is very important as it introduces us to a possible candidate and you must be serious when applying because it not only waste your time but ours as well. Contact us and let us know that you are interesting in joining us. With you first initial contact, please include: Your Real Name, Cosplayer name (if available), where you are from, past cosplay experience, past sewing experience, your interest, why you want to be apart of our group, and if you have any photos of your cosplay (this applies to those who are not new at it.) please include a few examples. (If you don’t have any experience, don’t worry, you will not be disqualified for that reason. Everyone has to start somewhere.) Once we receive your application to join, we will review it and contact you back promptly.

Step 2

Now that you sent in your application, you will hear back from us. If you don’t please send us a KIND reminder to check up on things. It will take usually not longer then a week to review your application but we are sure it will on take a couple days. ONLY send a KIND reminder if you haven’t heard from us in a week. Some of you will not be accepted for different reasons, feel free to reapply after a three month period. Will will explain to you why you weren’t accepted, so you can fix the problem and reapply if you want to at a later time.  For those that get accepted you will have a list of obligations to abide by in order to me inducted into our group and stay apart of our group. But first you will be a Trial member. So before becoming a full ACTIVE member, you will need to attend one of the conventions that we go to so we can see how you interact with people and with us. Also if you are applying to be an active member, before we can accept you we must meet you in person here in Ada, Oklahoma. The same goes with the extended membership but we don’t have to meet you in Ada. Just chat with us on any social networking group, email, or by messenger. If you are an international applicant, this doesn’t not apply to you. However before you are  accepted, we need to chat with you over messenger, email, or any social networking group that we are apart of same goes to the US membership.

Expectations Before and After Applying

Please read this before continuing to step 3. Here Are the what we guess you could call group rules to join and stay in the group.

Active Members -
1. Send in Application
2. Trial – Meet with us in Person in Ada
3. Meet up with us at a convention.
4. Attend Monthly meetings (At least 6 a year.)
5. Attend at least 2 conventions with us.
6. Send photos and or videos conventions or cosplay you have do so we can add then to the site for your section.
7. Keep in good contact.

Extended Members -
1. Send in Application

3. Meet up with us at a convention.
4. Attend virtual meetings once a month
5. Attend at least 1 convention a year with us.
6. Send photos and or videos conventions or cosplay you have do so we can add then to the site for your section.

US Member -
1. Send in Application
2. Trial – Meet with us in Online to chat with you.
3. Attend virtual meetings once a month.
4. Send photos and or videos conventions or cosplay you have do so we can add then to the site for your section.

International Members -
1. Send in Application

Step 3

You will be a trial member until you have at least attended three of our meetings and attend one convention that we go to. If you work well with the group then you become a Trial Active member. You can not go with us to a convention until we can trust you and each person is different. So we may let you go with us quickly or it may take a few conventions and meetings before you are able to travel with us. At the group meetings we discuss upcoming events, cosplay ideas, and we also sew. These meetings are basically to help keep are group organized. Virtual meetings will be kind of the same but no sewing. For US and International members, we just get status updates, cosplay progress, and just things to help make your section of the site up to date. Active members need to go with us to at least two conventions. We know things happen so sometimes that won’t be possible but by not attendance with us for a whole year, you will no longer be a active member and must reapply to become a member again.  Then on our sole digression, we may let you back in depending on the circumstances. The same goes to the extended members. You must attend meeting and conventions with in order to continue to be a active member ot a extended member. For the international and US members, you must attend the virtual meetings at least once a month and send us your photos and videos, if we stop hearing for you for three months in a roll, then you will no longer be a member and your will have to reapply.
